  “I cannot Praise these folks enough. They are truly professionals and treat every dog as an individual personality and according to their own needs. I was afraid to leave our dogs with anyone but due to an unexpected death we were forced to travel and leave or 3 rescue dogs (55lbs to 75 lbs). many places cater to fancy pants/AKC dogs so I was expecting to be refused. Our dogs are not only rescues, they were confiscated dogs and spent long periods of time at HCAC as evidence.One is scared to death of any dogs.(except these brothers) one had digits removed to draw in hogs--well u get the picture. I wrote up a history/summary on each dog and went over it with the staff. Even though a couple of staff members were young they took the time to make our dogs (especially the fearful one) feel comfortable before they took them to the kennels. They made accommodations to keep our dogs in different runs away from others and even letting them spend time together as a family. To make a long story longer- our oldest Tramp-y (the toeless), was brought out to us on our return and gave us a quick lick, turned around and headed back to the kennels. Enough said. Great to know we can go away for a weekend or to visit relatives further away and needn't worry about our babies. Thanks Sunny Days. We highly recommend you! We just used grooming for a rambunctious foster we had only a few days-great job”

  “I have one thing to say about kennel cough. I worked next door to a vet and have been in dogs 37 years. The vets need to tell people that the shout doesn't cover all strains. The place is keep clean. I like that there is some one there all the time. Been coming since 2006 with my Boston Moe. The owner Janice cooks her own food and if the dog can have treats she gives them some.”

  “I have been taking my Flat Coated Retriever Shadow to Sunny Days since we got him 5 years ago. I have used their daycare, boarding and grooming. I've been happy with all their services. More importantly, my dogs can's wait to get there and start to cry to get out of the car when we turn down the road!! They also helped me on a Sunday (after hours) when I needed emergency boarding because our air conditioner went out in August. We had to go to a hotel and couldn't bring the dogs. I love Sunny Days and so do my Boys.”

  “Been boarding my dog there since he was a pup, 8 1/2 years now. He gets excited when I pull in the parking lot, and drags me in the door (115 lb dutch shepherd), he loves the place. They provide plenty of play-time, so it's like summer camp for him. Work takes me out of town more than I like, sometimes for weeks at a time, and they've always kept him happy while I've been gone. As far as the other reviewer's post about their dog getting sick, Sunny Days is very strict on vaccinations (including kennel cough), and always check to make sure that your dog is current before taking them in. Hank has always come back to me happy and healthy, not much more I can say.”

  “I've boarded my dog three times at sunny days. Two of those times my dog was so sick when I picked her up I had to take her to the vet, costing me hundreds of dollars. I don't know what they do there, but the owner and his son couldn't be any wierder. I should have trusted my instincts. I've since found a better and cheaper kennel that I feel like I can trust, and guess what, my dog isn't sick when I pick her up there!”

  “We have taken our two dogs (lab mix) to Sunny Days several times for boarding (from 8-16 days. The dogs love it and come home healthy and happy. Our remaining dog is going again later this month for 2 1/2 weeks. If anything changes, I'll post another review.”

  “The owner of Sunny Days Nat is a poor business owner. Sunny Days hustles you like some cheap shop owner in a foreign country.
  
  My trip, which lasted over 10 days, was delayed due to flight schedule changes, and I had to spend more on hotels and car rentals than I budgeted for. When I came to Sunny Days on Sunday to pick up my dog, I had $295 to my name.
  
  Employees were there, but wouldn't let me come in at 2pm when I got there. I had to wait an hour to come in and that cost me another $24. (2pm is the cut-off for a day)
  
  The bill was $312, but I literally only had $295 and was willing to give every penny even though it would mean an empty wallet until payday. The owner refused to give me my dog and kept him there until I was able to scrape the remaining $17. It took me two days to raise the money and I had to pay for those extra days as well (another $50).
  
  He has chosen his location because he can threaten to take your animal to SPCA across the street if you aren't able to pay. He was willing to send my dog to the SPCA over $17.
  
  Please do not take your animal or your money to this business. I expect this business will fail and shut down before 2009 is over.”

  Ummmm- Good Grooming but customer service needs improvement

  “I made a appt to have my dog groomed on Sat. Jan 31. I arrived a little bit before 8:30 and waited in my car till 8:30..since I was meeting a friend for breakfast at 8:30 I left and had to leave my little dog in the cold while my friend and I had breakfast. After we finished breakfast at 9:30 I went back to Sunny Days and came in. The receptionist was talking to this very long winded lady and it took the lady FOREVER to explain to the groomer how she wanted her dog groomed...The Groomer did smile at me but the lady kept talking and talking and talking...and talking..I am an art teacher and had a class at my house at 10:00 so I HAD TO GO...In the past my dogs have gotten fleas from Sunny Days when groomed. The groomers are very nice but 1. I would suggest to open doors on Sat. promptly at 8:30 and when a customer comes in acknowlege the customers waiting when you have a long winded person .....”

  “One person told me we could pick the dogs up by 2:00 and not be charged for that day (Sunday), then the onwer told me after the fact that because it was Sunday, we couldn't pick them up until 3:00 and, therefore, would be charged an extra day. They allowed our dogs to immediately run with other dogs in a big yard, even though we asked that they not be allowed around any other dogs. They were allowing 8-10 dogs to run loose together on a regular basis. I gave them food to feed our dogs, measured out so they would have about exactly enough for the time they'd be there. But, when we picked them up, all three looked thin and they gave us HALF the food back that I gave them. Too expensive for the service we and the dogs got.”
