  “We absolutely LOVE Locust Run Kennels! We have boarded our beloved lab and german short hair here for 3 years now and have no regrets at all. It is clean, heated in the winter and a/c in the summer and the staff is superb! Our dogs are more than just dogs to use and we would and will continue to board them at LRK.”

  “We have boarded our first and current black lab dogs for years at this facility. Initially, we used a Vet facility for boarding, thinking it would be the best place; however, repeatedly our first dog had issues with the small accomodations. We found Locust Run, which is located a bit in the country, and have been satisfied ever since. We have had positive experiences with no health issues. The staff is polite and courteous. If I have occasional medicines for administration, it is done properly. I provide my own food and treats with instructions, which are carried out. Over the years, I found out that they have refrigerators in the kennel area and my dogs have all loved carrots. This is where they store my carrots that I instruct them to give once a day. They have staff assigned to particular locations of the kennel to watch over their assigned dogs. Therefore, the staff does get to know your dog during their stay. Eventhough this is a large facility, it is very well run and organized. It has large dog runs that are clean. It is a great value. Over all the years that we have taken vacation and boarded our dogs at Locust Run, we have been fortunate that our familiy has had no mishaps during our vacations. The same can be said about our wonderful family dogs. They have had no mishaps while there over the many years.”

  “We were desperate to find a boarder last minute because our normal facility was full, that was the only reason we boarded our pugs at Locust Run. Unless it was an emergency situation and NOTHING else is available, I will not board here again. Our pugs are like our children, and if this is how you feel about your dogs, this is not the facility for you. Our dogs weren't injured while they were here, but they did not receive the personalized attention available at other locations. I did not like that the yard was full of rocks (perhaps where some of the reviewer's dogs got their cuts?) and it looks like a prison cell. Also, our pugs all came back with fleas. Realizing there is the risk of this in all boarding situations, I've boarded several times in many different locations where there was more interaction with other dogs and NEVER have my dogs come back infested with fleas. The price is right, but I could not with clear conscience leave my dogs here again. Board here if your dogs are just dogs. I wouldn't leave my toddler here, so I won't be patronizing this kennel again.”
