“I will be sure to never return and tell anyone looking for a groomer to stay away. However, all they would have to do is see my dog, that says it all. Clearly her social calender means more to her, than taking 5 minutes to fix the mistakes that she made.”

“We had our dogs groomed by Chris years ago and they always looked so wonderful. Ours dogs eventually passed away but we are adopting a new dog in a few weeks and Chris will be the ONLY groomer to touch our new pet!”

“I have been taking my two labs to Apple Hill for the past 1 1/2 years to be shaved and bathed. My younger one, Max is uncooperative and is obnoxious with water(he only likes to swim in it, doesn't like the squirting). Chris handles him very well and always looks fantastic when I pick him up. The older lab, Casey (passed away in the spring) loved Chris and would help her by rolling over, lifting up his legs to make sure he was thoroughly shaved and bathed!! I have found Apple Hill to be professional and courteous on every visit.”

“I was sorry to hear about the complaints...I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Chris and her care of Max, our Lab. He isn't a fan of baths, and she has always done a wonderful job. He is tail wagging every time! Her prices are very reasonable and I have recommended her to many of my friends. With her warm personality and obvious love of animals, I find it difficult to believe that she would ever leave a nasty message to anyone.”

“I have known Christine since she was a little girl. She loves animals and is in the perfect profession for her! She is also responsible for bringing a mixed breed dog named Valerie into my parent's life. Valerie was abandoned and through Chris's diligence in wanting to find a home for her, my parents met and adopted her. Valerie was a true sweetheart and was adored by my parents for 8 years. She passed away in 2008, but if it had not been for Chris, my parents and Val would never have found each other. Chris has had dogs her whole life as pets and is a true lover of all animals. As a groomer, she is top notch!”

“My wife, Christine Dunn, is the owner of Apple Hill Pet Grooming, and is hardly lazy. In nearly ten years in business, she has had a total of three complaints. When people have an unruly dog (not a little jumpy), that the previous reviewer admittedly couldn't even get to the groomer by herself, won't go into a kennel, and won't cooperate at all to be groomed, they blame the groomer? The reviewer wasn't there when the dog was picked up, leaving a nasty message herself later. Chris grooms plenty of large dogs, even bathes and grooms some by crawling around on the floor because they are too big to get into the tub. She takes great pride in her work, and replied to the message offering to re-bathe the reviewer's dog the next day at no charge, while they waited, to see what she did. She never got a reply, only this spiteful, misleading review. Calling her lazy? Please. Manhandling large, unruly dogs isn't easy. Ever read or see Marley & Me? Imagine Marley at the grooming shop.”

“I am Christine Dunn the owner of and groomer at Apple Hill Pet Grooming. This is first time I was aware of this review. I remember this dog and although very loving he was uncontrollable. I could not get him into a kennel, so I offered to groom the dog while the customer stayed as I cannot have a loose dog running around my shop.
The customer could not stay and I had to tether the dog to my tub in order to bath him. He was working himself up barking, drooling,and panting for the remainder of his time spent at my shop.
Upon hearing the customers complaint, I offered to have her bring the dog in the next day to be re-groomed free of charge with her there to hopefully calm the dogs anxiety and make the grooming experience a pleasant one. I never heard back form the customer. I am sorry that she was so unsatisfied with her Apple Hill Pet Grooming experience.” -

“Apple Hill Pet Groomers are awful! I sent my Labrador there for a simple bath and nail trim. I informed the woman over the phone that my dog was very big, so big that I myself could not handle him, I would have to wait for my husband to bring him over the weekend. She stated that that would be no problem, this was after all a horse farm, she could handle him.
I dont know what kinds of horses she deals with because she in no way had a clue about how to deal with a large dog. She couldnt get him into a cage, was annoyed that he was a little jumpy (what dog isnt in a new place surrounded by animals?), and became even more annoyed when we said we would be back in a hour for him. She wanted us to stay there and wait but we were unable to do so. When we picked him up he still smelled! When I called to complain she left me a nasty message stating that my dog wouldnt quit barking and perhaps that was why she couldnt bathe him properly or maybe he was just a stinky dog!!! Dont waste your time or money, this lady is LAZY!”
