  “the owner Christine was arrested in 2005 for animal abuse. She was caught on video punching a 14 year old dog she was grooming. She pleaded to a lesser charge of misdemeanor property damage. She will lie about it and claim it was a former employee seeking revenge, but it was her fist punching the dog. She has had all of her friends write good reviews so the bad ones fall off the page. She is nutty ....avoid !!!”

  “I use to take my dog there but stopped about 3 months ago when I was unable to get an appointment. My dog was always skittish & nervous going to St James & they had me convinced that my dog was just difficult & a nervous breed. Well he loves his new groomer, he has been there twice & his nervousness & skittishness seems to have disappeared. In conversation a client of my new groomer informed me that 1 of the owners of St James, Christine had been arrested for animal abuse in the past. Makes me wonder....”

  “My cairn terrier recently visited St James dog grooming. I thought it would be great idea since there are no cages. The worst clip I have ever seen. He also seemed depressed after his visit to the shop. I love the idea of no cages but will not be returning to St James dog grooming. Regretably I looked up the business only after my bad experience where I was shocked to learn that 1 of the owners was arrested for animal abuse in the past. If I had known that I never would've taken my dog there.”

  “I have witnessed Christine lose her temper with many a dog. Christine puts on a great show. The shop has been aroung for over 12 years, in that time the business has had 4 different owners. Christine bought the business in the Spring of 2004. My own dogs wouldn't even let Christine touch them. They freaked out as soon as she came near them. They never behaved like that before or since. It's sad that there are customers that have no clue as to how their dogs have really been treated. It's upsetting that these same customers are defending a woman who has no business being around our beloved pooches.”

  “St James Dog Grooming does an excellent job grooming dogs. Our 3 dogs have been clients of this establishment for 12 years and Christine has taken care of them sinc she took over the business. The dogs love going there and she genuinely loves them. Her staff is great and the dogs look great.

  “Christine the owner of St jasmes Dog grooming was caught on video beating a small muzzled dog. The ADA allowed her to plea to a lessor charge of attempted property danage , if you love your pet, stay away from this grooming shop. She is on a years probation and court ordered anger management classes. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!”
