My name is Ana Gonzalez, and I am the owner of The Ruff Spot Pet Grooming & Market. I am a school taught groomer from one of the best college accredited grooming schools in the nation, The Florida Institute of Animal Arts (now named Institute of Technical Arts, LLC.) In my former life (feels like a lifetime ago!) I graduated from FIU with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I worked for both the Miami-Dade Public School System and Seminole County Public School System for many years. I am also the mother of 4 beautiful human daughters ages 17, 16, 14 & soon to be 8. My canine kids are Lucy & Nini (both Chihuahuas) and Jojo (a Bichon/Poo mix). My feline kid is Tiki, a yellow tabby (one cool cat...) It's hard work to keep up with all of these children, whether human, canine or feline, but I would not trade it for the world...

I once bred Chihuahuas, the tiny German Shepherds of the world, and provided many families with beautiful, well bred Chihuahuas. Formerly of Granny's Bed, Bone & Spa, (here in Islamorada), I can say that I have not only worked at both large corporate (Pet Smart) and small grooming establishments, but have owned my own called Throw Me A Bone Grooming of Winter Springs, FL. My references are excellent and include both former clients and managers.

I pride myself on being gentle, patient and talented!

My goal will always be QUALITY not QUANTITY... Beautification takes time!
