    “I have taken my maltese and toy poodle there often. The owner and the groomers are always friendly. I had a problem one time with the way my maltese was cut because his hair above his eyes was cut. I was very upset. The owner made sure that groomer did not work on my dogs again. I have always been very pleased otherwise. The owner loves dogs and wants to make sure you are happy. You do however, have to give specific instructions if you want your dog to have a certain type of cut. I have seen the comments about dogs locked up and dog running loose. The owners dogs come to work with her. They are always friendly. The dogs that have been groomed or are waiting to be groomed are usually running around in the grooming area unless they are in the drying cages. The dogs that don't get along with others are in cages. I like that they are not caged up.”

    “At first we lived this place. Until they kept my morkie in a cage for 3 hours after her regular appt time, and didn't even start to groom her. We live an hour away and when they didn't call, we went to check on her. They told us another hour at least. The groomers were not even friendly. WAY OVERATED. I recommend petsmart!”

    “the owner was very helpful and the groomer knew what she was doing. the price was reasonable and my dog was well taken care of and tired (in a good way)from a long day of playing with other pups and making friends. i'll definitely return.”

    “I am from 200 miles north of Ridgeland and wanted to bring my 6 month yorkiepoo to a really nice groomer. I dropped her off at Diva Dog and first they cut ALL her hair off and then I found 5 ticks on her. She is a tiny yorkiepoo and is hardly every outside except to use the bathroom. Plus, I don't have any wooded areas where there would be ticks and she is on her monthly meds for that. I called Diva Dog to let them know so that other dogs wouldn't be harmed and the owner said that ticks don't travel from dog to dog so I was the one that infected her store and the other dogs. SERIOUSLY? She was very rude!!!! Plus my poor little yorkiepoo looked anorexic because of he bad cut.”

    “A friend of mine took their dog to this groomer, and they dropped him without telling the owner. The dog later died from the injury. Horrible place.”

    “My mother-in-law just got a little (5 pounds and fluffy!) 6 month old poodle about 6 months ago. Being that this poodle is her new baby she decided to fork out the money to have him professionally groomed and took him to Diva Dog in Madison, MS. Several things happened in the 6-7 times she brought him there within these first 6 months she has had him:
    1. His first visit the woman at diva dog question if he was really a poodle and criticized his appearance greatly! (we are huge dog lovers here so we could care less about the pureness of his breed!). I was appalled that someone in a Retail Animal store would be so negative to an owner about their precious animal!
    2. His LAST VISIT: Our little poodle had an appointment at 9:00 in the morning and was take in promptly at 9:00. When he was dropped off to be groomed there were other clients coming in, who didn't have appointments, but were able to be walk-ins. The owner of Diva Dog told us she would call when he was ready to be picked up. By 2:00 we had not heard anything, so my mother-in-law called to check on him and was told that he was NOT ready. My mother-in-law was a little irritated because he had been there for 5 hours and not seen, but gave them a little more time to get it done and they said they would call. AGAIN They Did Not Call so my mother-in-law and father-in-law went up there to get him...when they got there:
    HE WAS UNDER A TABLE SOAKING WET AND SHIVERING!!! He was terrified and freezing. The woman then had the NERVE to ask them to PAY for the BATH!!! This woman DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS- all she cares about is making money.”

    “My elderly, deaf pug escaped from a motel room in Jackson and was picked up on the interstate frontage road by one of their groomers, who then went to a lot of trouble to locate me...and when I retrieved him, he'd had a bath, a nail trim...he was happy and spiffy and I was one relieved owner! They were wonderful!”

    “My grumpy dog likes to go no where without me, but I know when I take him to Diva Dogs he will be well groomed and taken care of. The groomers are very knowledgeable on how to handle the grooming of different breeds so they don't look like cookie cut. Thank you Diva Dogs.”

    Terrible groomers, Surly service

    “Took my poodle there once, and her groom was ok. On the 2nd visit, a different person groomed her completely differently, and just cut her top knot OFF. She didn't even look like my pooch. There were 11 dogs there that day, all running around loose, getting into things, all nervous, some fighting. They offered to fix her, but only within 1 week. Well, my dog's coat was MUCH TOO SHORT! How can they fix that in only a week? Rather than apologizing or trying to be helpful, she was argumentive. The owner is a nutcase, and never tells anyone they are booked when you make an appointment. She just piles in more and more dogs. They may as well not even take appointments. The store has nice items for purchase, which are way overpriced. Some of their prices are double what you pay in other shops, or if you were to order online. The groom itself is a reasonable $42, but I would never go back there. I am telling others not to use them as well.”

    “TOOK MY DOG HERE AND THEY ARE NOT PROTECTED IN CRATES, JUST LEFT TO RUN LOOOOOOOOOSE IN THE GROOMING. WHAT A PROBLEM. ANOTHER DOG COULD HURT MY DOG OR MAKE HER SICK. WHAT A PROBLEM”

    “I have had horrible experiences with groomers in the metro area. One such visit resulted in a $400 vet bill following my maltese's groom. The grooming at Diva Dog has been fantastic. The special attention to the care and comfort of my pets is top notch. I have been using Diva Dog for over a year now with not one bad experience. My pets are not stressed when I come to pick them up and they even get excited when I tell them we're going to Diva Dog. Best groomer around.”
