    “I have taken my dogs to JP's since they opened. They are wonderful. Family members and friends now take their dogs there. All of these negative comments are ridiculous. When a dog rushes in and is excited about going to JP's, you know they are doing something right. I will always recommend JP's.”

    “After a horrible experience here I decided to google the place and find somewhere to give my two cents. As I read the comments I had to laugh when I came across the comment left by Ken Platt. FYI to anyone reading this, he is one of the owners, and he even told me they don't have dogs !! To be fair, I believe Janet did a wonderful job on my dog, it was a verbal assault by Ken that has sent me packing. We are neighbors with the family that runs the cleaners next door. Apparently his outbursts are pretty regular.”

    “i don't know who's grooming the dogs there, or about the treatment the dogs recieve, all i can say is that i work at k-9 cuts, shelby twp, and i've regroomed... fixed, or attempted to, quite a few dogs who came out of there with some pretty ridiculously bad haircuts... yorkie in a cocker cut...”

    “I had to have my dog put down because of them. They put that stupid noose around my little yorkie then left him alone and he slipped off the table and choked. And they are the rudest most malicious people, greedy, deceitful awful people, negligent and violent towards the animals.”

    “These people should not be allowed to have any contact with animals, I saw how the owner treated a cocker spaniel that she was grooming. It was terrible how rough she was with this poor dog. I'll never go back!!”

    “JP's is owned by a borderline insane couple. They were so incredibly rude to me. After speaking with the wife in the store before getting my dogs hair trimmed (the co-owner), she somehow found something i said to be offensive (simply because she is a complete loon). When I called to tell them what a good job they did on my dogs hair, the husband owner informed me that my dog nor myself would be welcome back into their salon unless he talked to his wife to get her ok for what I had said to her. I was completeeelllyyy confused and utterly embarrassed. I would never nor have i ever treated anyone with disrespect, so obviously his complaints were unfounded and just crazy. These people are absolutely nuts, and I would suggest everyone to steer clear of their establishment and not give them your business.”

    “I am truly sadden by the treatment of the dogs! on many occasions the owners throw brushes at the cages to quiet any dogs that may bark,they are only allowed to be seen and not heard. the owners are very rude people, and driven by money! I will never recommend them to any one. in my opinion they should not be groomers,they should be investigated and exposed.”

    “JP's has been taking care of my special pets for many years. My dogs love coming to JP's and the result is always great. I know that anyone who does not respect and treat the dogs as special - are forced to quit or are fired. I thank the owners who care more about the comfort and security of my pets than anything else. Sorry for anyone who is missing out.

    “I may be biased because I am a current employee but I disagree with the past employees. J.P.'s is a great place to take your dog and a great place to work. Everyone there is very friendly, especially the owners(my bosses). They are very fair and lenient to us employees as long as we stay polite and maintain a positive attitude. Working there is nothing like a sweatshop at all! It is the best job I ever had ! I mean who could hate being around adorable puppies and dogs all day? The only people who dislike this place appear to be the ones who bring in extremely matted, neglected dogs which have to be shaved down and aren't as fluffy as the customer wanted. As well as an employee, I am also a dedicated member of PETA and I can tell you I would NEVER work for a place that mistreated animals and would report them immediately, and this is definitely not the case. I feel like the dogs that come in are my own and treat them that way. I HIGHLY recommend taking your dogs here, the quality is amazing especially for such low prices.”

    “I used to work for JP's and it was the worst place I have ever worked. They are rude to both the employees and customers. I felt like I was working in a sweat shop. I have never been treated so horribly by an employer in my life. Don't take your dogs there.”

    “I am a previous employee of JP's, I have never worked for such a rude, two faced employer in my whole life. Groomers beware I received NONE of my tips. It felt as if I were working for a sweat shop. Many employees come and go; very few stay. Maybe one day they will figure out why and treat future employees with respect and appreciate them.”

    “JPs is owned by a husband and wife. At first this couple seemed very nice and good to my dog....but after a while they got very greedy and RUDE. I was disgusted by their treatment of my dog and myself. Their attitude and rude manners made me change my mind about taking my dog there, so i have taken my business elsewhere and am very satisfied with it. I have a couple friends who have warned me about this place, but since the first couple times were successful i kept on taking my pet there. I'm very glad to have taken my business somewhere else, and until the owners can learn how to speak to the customers properly, they won't be seeing many more new customers.”
