We take so very much pride in our work, and do our best to make our four legged friends look and feel their best, we treat all like family and hope to become part of theirs. We have so many customers that love Carol and ask anyone to come in and meet us before making up their minds. Let us prove these people wrong”

    “I have been going to the groom shop for many, many years, and have never had a problem, they are wonderful, I am a part of their family and they are for sure a part of ours!! the girls there always do their best, they are proud of their work and their shop, its a very cozy place.. i will never go elsewhere, if your new to the area or not i would highly recommend The Groom Shop, just stop by and have a look around”

    “I take my 3 pit bulls to Carol and her crew once a month and they just love it there. Everyone is so friendly and the place looks so cute. Its got cute little ornaments hanging everywhere and its just darling. I love it there, and I would highly recommend taking yours kids there. It so great and I couldn't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else. :D”

    “I usally take my dog to Petsmart for grooming and decided to take him to the Pet Shop because it was cheaper in price. It was the worst grooming my dog has every had. He had cuts in his hears and razer burn all over his little body. HORIBLE JOB”

    “Do not take your dog to the Groom Shop for any reason! They're horrible groomers, fraudulently say they've provided services when they have not, and unbelievably bad customer service. They do awful grooming, and my dog came out looking like he was groomed by someone with no training whatsoever. A total, awful butcher job! While there, my dog was also traumatized, and apparently was handled very, very roughly while in their care. I wouldn't take a dog there for any reason under any circumstance. Do not go to the Groom Shop!”

    “No stars for this groom shop, the employees, nor the person who tells someone face with losing a pet 'that the dog was old and ready to pass away anyway. The dog was KILLED... he didn't pass away. just a dog is another thoughtless comment. A no brainer here... this shop should be avoided, along will all those associated with it.”

    “Would you stop already lady, it's just a dog. Accidents happen. Your moms dog was old and ready to pass away anyway, just let it go. For godness sakes accidents happen, it wasn't intentional! Get a job or find something more productive to do with your time. The dog is gone, so let him rest in peace. And so what if chase is Carols son, he can be a witness too!”

    “To the person who was employed at the groom shop named Chase - Nice try! You are Carol Halstead's son!

    Carol Halstead of The Groom Shop was convicted again of Animal Cruelty on October 28, 2008!!!

    She is currently facing another charge of Animal Cruelty which she will be arraigned for that one on November 7, 2008.

    This woman should be banned from having any dealings with Animals as there are a number of us who's animals either died in her care or were seriously injured.

    We had no idea that we could press charges. Now we know.

    Please, if you care about your animals stay as far away from this woman and place as possible.

    Your animals will be in grave danger!!!”

    “To the person who used to work at the Groom Shop. Let me tell you something about Carol and the Groom Shop!!! She has been previously convicted of 8 counts of Animal Cruelty in Douglas, Nebraska, she is banned from the AKC (breeding & shows), she is being sued by another woman who's dog was in her care and severly injured, also she has been charged by the Pima County Sheriff's dept. for Animal Cruelty and facing jail time. There is another woman who just filed charges on this Carol for the same thing.

    Now, if YOU think that Carol is justified by not getting medical attention to a dog that was severly traumatized, dislocated hip, and massive internal bleeding, then YOU should not be around animals either!!!! You are just as monstrous as Carol from the Groom Shop!!!!

    All anyone has to do is look at the Public Records and see this woman for what she is. And as for you, don't be so gullable. Make sure before you write anything, do your homework!! You are so wrong!!!!”

    “Yes I am writing this to the last comment that was said. I use to be an employee of the groom shop until I went to another job. I was there the day the dog was picked up. I don't know what happened at the owners house, but the day the dog was picked up the owner WAS NOT DEVASTED NOR MAD!!! I am a little peeved and tired that the daughter who lives out of state who was not there keep ranting and raving about this. Yes I know it has beeen a tragic time for her mother but I was there when the dog was dropped off and picked up. The owner stated after she was told what had happened that the dog had a heart murmur, and that the dog had tendicies to be the alpha male. So I dont know what had happened at the house but I do know this BECAUSE I WAS A WITNESS!!! When the dog was picked up the owner was not devastated or mad, she said herself that it was an accident and that she would let us know on the condition on the dog as it progressed.”

    “Anyone who has taken their pet to the Groom Shop in Green Valley Arizona, please contact Lisa Dow at 408-218-2117.

    On Tuesday November 13th my mother dropped off her Shih Tzu for boarding at the Groom Shop in the care of the owner's hands. On Saturday she went to pick up her dog only to find that he had been mauled by the owner's two dogs and couldn't even walk or stand.

    She immediately took the dog to the local vet and the vet was apauled at what he saw. The dog had a dislocated hip and puncture wounds all over. They sent my mother up to Tucson Emergency Clinic where again the vets were apauled that this dog was not brought to the Vet immediately after this mauling happened.

    After $2600 and many hours of trying to keep the dog alive he died!!

    The owner of the Groom Shop stated that she found the dog laying on the ground with her two dogs around him. She also stated that her two dogs always rough played with each other throwing each other against the fence. She picked up the dog knowing it couldn't walk and washed him off. She said this happened on Friday evening and knowing that my mother was back in town already she didn't even bother to call her. Saturday morning her son called and said that my mother's dog was ready for pick up.

    When my mother got there she was devasted. When asked, the owner of the Groom Shop stated that she didn't think he was that bad even though the dog couldn't stand or walk!!

    Apparently, this is not the first time she had a dog in her care that died. If you or anyone you know has had something happen to your pet in her care please don't hesitate to call. This owner or The Groom Shop should not be allowed to care for other's animals or even have her own!!!!

    If I were you I would NEVER trust this woman or the Groom Shop with your animals for a second. You may be in complete devestation like my mother.”
