Established in 1989, the Highland Groomery and Kitty Bed & Breakfast is a full service, professional grooming salon located in Highland Maryland. The Highland Groomery is owned and operated by Wanda Mayhew and staffed by 7 groomers: Wanda, Charlotte, Ashley, Erin, Jackie, Stephanie, and Tanya. All are graduates of an accredited school specializing in teaching professional all breed pet grooming and business management. We follow AKC guidelines for proper styling and grooming procedures and come highly recommended by many veterinarians. Their clients are our clients; so they see the quality of grooming we do. We do not believe in the assembly line method of grooming to cut costs. We offer professional, personal, holistic, and thorough pet grooming with tender loving care. Your pet's health and hygiene is our top priority. Having your pet grooming regularly is better for your pet, because we are able to bring to your attention possible medical problems which may require the attention of your veterinarian; and a well groomed pet is a happy pet. In 2003 we opened our state of the art Kitty Bed & Breakfast feline boarding facility. Unfortunately the county does not permit us to board dogs, because we do not have enough land on our facility.

  “My female main coon, Yummy, puts up quite a fuss when I put her in her carrier to go to the groomer, but once Wanda starts working with her Yummy purrs and paws and is so happy to be brushed and groomed -- Wanda does an excellent job. A great place to take your cat!”
