I can't even begin to describe how amazing Eric and Holly Taylor are. I have been taking my dogs to their groomery for years. Not only do they treat every dog well, Eric has too much integrity to not tell someone when he notices a cut, or even if he has accidentally cut a dog. He treats it immediately with something to stop the bleeding and everything is so clean that nothing could get infected unless the owner didn't take care of it at home. He cares not only for dogs, but the owners of the dogs too. He took the time to talk to me while I cried telling him that we had to let one of our dogs go because she was sick and we couldn't afford to take care of her. He cried with me. He is more than a groomer to us, he is part of the family. And this one bad review by a woman that is trying to convince people to go somewhere else will be covered by the many many loyal customers he has, because he is that amazing. He books out almost three moths in advance, that is how incredible of a groomer he is.” -

“We took our Yorkie to another groomer in Riverton and were told not to bring him back until he had been anesthetized so they could work on him... A YORKIE!!! are you kidding me.. we are new to the area and have never had problems with him grooming.. We called the Dog Father and they took us right in even though they are booked out for three months knowing our situation Eric was willing to help.. He looked amazing!!! and was happier than ever.. If anyone in Riverton tells you ,you need to have your dog anesthetized to be groomed... RUN! then call Eric”

“Love the Dog Father Groomery! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences and so has my yorkie. In fact the first time I took Ruger, Eric let him out of his cage when I came to pick him up and he just wanted to follow Eric around. When in past he books it for me and is shaking in fear. He always looks wonderful afterwards as well. I look forward to continue doing business and keep sending family and friends there as well. I know have at least 3 friends that take their yorkies there now too and love it just as much as us! Thanks Eric and Staff!”

“I can't believe I found this hidden gem of a groomer. My dog comes home happy and beautiful! Eric knows his stuff, other groomers ruined my dogs hair because they didn't know how Eskies should be cut(and they were a vet's office). thank you for being fair, honest and amazing at what you do!”

“Our little poodle Belle had been to a number of other places in Riverton, but the last one in particular was a disaster , so bad in fact that they told us that we would have to contact our veterinarian for tranquilizers before they would attempt her again. Not knowing any better we thought that was our only choice and so we got the medication but at the advice of a friend decided to contact Eric at the Dog Father first.. he assured us that there would be no need for any medications, in fact, he very strongly told us that if Belle were to come in with anything on board he would refuse to do her, so reluctantly we decided to give it a final try with him.... WOW!!!!!! Not only did Belle look amazing, but she loved being there. She would come home and on occasion punish us by leaving suprises on the couch and making us pay for her miserable experience, I can tell you that when she came home from Eric's place she was extremely happy and we didn't have to pay the price. Not only that , but when we took her back for a spa treatment and teeth brushing she couldn't wait to get into the shop, and climbed right up to see them.. I am still in shock and my Husband has now called Eric the new dog whisperer... We have recommended him to every one we know...”

“We had taken our two bischons to another groomery here in riverton and asked them to make them look like the dogs they are supposed to be. what a dissapointment.. there was no design what soever. They looked horrible!!!! We stopped by the Dog Father to see what could be done and talked to Michelle Cumberledge and made the appointment.. To our suprise when we picked them up they had a total transformation and looked amazing... thanks to Michelle and the Dog Father Groomery our dogs look now what they should look like... I would recommend Eric and Michelle to anyone who has had a bad experience in the past”

“After taking our Bischon Frises to another groomery here in Riverton, we were extremely unhappy with the results of the design and how are dogs looked and we were treated... We stopped by the Dog Father and talked to them about the possibility of fixing what had been done to our to dogs... After making the appointment we were extremely pleased with the outcome.. They looked like Bischons and not some poodle cross!!! They were happy and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Dog Father and the crew there.. They were awesome. without question we will be back”

“We are from Blanding, Utah and decided at the recommendation of our friends we were visiting on the Thanksgiving weekend to bring our dog Ozzie with us so he could be groomed by their groomer in Riverton.. We have had some bad experiences and Ozzie has had some bad trust issues and anxieties with the groomers we have used here.. So sceptically he came with us and we dropped him off at the Dog Father. Eric , not only accomodated us on one of the buisiest days of the year I am sure, but took the time to make sure Ozzie's experience was good.. And holy hannah!!! Not only was he extremely happy when we picked him up, but I don't think he as ever looked so good.. Thank you Eric!!! He will be making the trek from Blanding with us everytime we come to Riverton from now on.....”

“My Bichon Frise went the entire summer without grooming because of a horrible experience with a different groomer. I heard about Eric at the Dog Father and decided to give him a try. “I have now taken all three of my dogs to Eric at the Dog Father Groomery... the two small ones aren't particualarly challenging and they turned out great.. Our Standard Poodle, Max, however has been difficult. We have been told, by other groomers in the area... In fact from time to we have had to take him back on consecutive days so that he could be finished... Or they just couldn't get him done... We were told he would bite them and they couldn't do his feet... After having the others done, Eric agreed to tackle Max.. WOW!!!!! not only did he look great but his feet were done as they should be... And after watching the final trimming I have to say that It's obviously not all about the trimming. Eric has a way with these dogs that I have not seen before... Max did everything he asked and allowed him to finish anything he started... We will be coming back everytime from now on!! Great Job”

“My little tiny toy poodle growls at everyone but my family and now Eric. He is the best hands down. Tinker looks amazing and it is obvious that Eric was kind and gentle to him. Tinker went to the other groomer in riverton by the maverick for his first grooming and was scared half to death there, not to mention I was taken advantage of on the price. We will only go to Eric at the Dogfather from now on.”

“If it were possible to give The Dog Father Groomery 5 stars I would! We had been taking Freddy to a groomer in Murray, but because I don't work in Murray anymore I had to find someone closer to home to take care of him. They were less expensive than the other places (which is a good thing because I am recently unemployed) we looked into, but they did NOT lack in quality one bit. We are VERY pleased with the outcome of the services provided and will be taking Freddy back! I would recommend Eric and The Dog Father Groomery to anyone.”

“Recently I had the experience of taking my two Bernese Mountain Dogs to Eric at the Dog Father groomery.. My big boy has always had issues with places, in fact I have never had him groomed, the reason being that when we had him neutered and he woke up from the anesthetic he went ballistic.. No one could even get near him!!! Anytime after that anyone he didn't know couldn't get even near him.. Well.. I reached the point that I couldn't comb out his undercoat and decided to call.. Eric assured me that even though it might be a process , he was confident that my Mountain Dog could be turned around.. Yeah Right!!!!! So I made the appointment and hesitantly left awaiting the call to come and pick him up that he wasn't going to cooperate... I got the call.. but instead it was just the update on how well he was doing... A few hours later the second call came in and I was told he could be picked up.. Finished!!! now chance.. but to my suprise when I arrived he was still on the Grooming table allowing Eric to do whatever needed to be done and HAPPY!! I am so grateful that I found these guys... I would reccomend them to the world...”

“I have a one year old labradoodle that the other groomer in riverton had me come and pick up after I dropped her off, telling me that I needed to teach it some obedience before I could bring her back and have them work on her.. I was pretty embarrassed but decided to groom her at home myself if I could.. Well she is full of herself and after repeated attempts I decided that my four small children and I couldn't handle the task and called Eric at the Dog Father for help.. After calming my anxiety that I had the worst dog in the world according to the other groomers , Eric had me bring her in and assured me that she would learn very quickly... miracles do happen!!!! not only did she learn to be groomed by a professional but when I went to pick her up she was standing well on the grooming table with Eric dodging the repeated kisses she was attempting to dish out. I am amazed... The best I have ever come across.. Thanks”

“After taking our schnauzer to Eric at the Dog Father it was appear ant that we needed to tell the whole family about what an incredible job he did and subsequently had our daughter and sister bring their dogs to him as well.. “Our dog Maggie has had been groomed by other places in Riverton and finally we found someone who new what to do with her.. she had been grooomed just two weeks ago and she looked horrible, so we contacted Eric at the dog father and went in to him for a fix it grooming.. And what a difference.. I would recommend that any one take their dog to him before they get ruined by someone else.. the cost was minimual for the fix but well worth it...”

“After stopping in and talking to Eric about our cocker Atomic we decided to give him a try. Atomic has been taken to all the big box stores as well as another groomery and Riverton all which refused to groom him saying that he would have a stroke or he couldn't be touched or whatever! He is missing an eye and is mostly blind in the other eye which makes it hard for him to see anything but he is our companion and is very sweet. Eric took the time to groom him and when he was picked up he was very happy and looked fantastic!!!! He feels so much better and we would absolutely go no where elsle
from now on.. I watched as Eric finished Atomic and was amazed at how my dog responded to him.. go , go, go, go that is all I can say....” -

“I used to use Eric years ago to groom my cocker Scrappy. When he sold his kennel i had a VERY hard time finding a new groomer who could even make Scrappy look remotely like he used to. When I heard that he was opening a new shop I was elated!!! Scrappy is long gone and very missed, however Gertrude is now a client of his and she looks fantastic every time she goes. If you can get an appointment he is well worth it!!”

“WE have had our lab to several groomers and they have all refused to groom him to the point that he had to go the veterinarian and be anesthetized to be be worked on . yes he was that bad! We talked to Eric's old kennel he had previously owned and they told us that if any one could help us it was him. With reservation we made the appointment and to our surprise without being put out and without being quit on our do came back groomed the way we asked and happy, We are completely blown away. If any one has any reservations about Eric and his work, you need not worry. amazing!!!!”

“Finally someone who listens.. we had our Schauzer to other groomers in the area and no one would listen to what we wanted.. Eric listened and did exactly what we asked for. the first time maybe ever. And when Buster came back to us he was happier than ever. He likes to look at himself in the mirror. weird but true and we couldn't get him off the bed for the rest of the day looking at himself in the closet mirror.. What a find”

“Being the owner of this business it is appear ant that someone wants to ruin it for whatever reason, my guess is jealousy and that they are intimidated by our success. We can give you reference after reference of clients who wouldn't go any where else and have come back after we closed 6 years ago. and new clients who wouldn't go anywhere else now also.. we will make sure that we find out who this individual is and prosecute them criminally and civilly for slanderous and vicious comments.. we have an idea as to who this is as they have tried this before and have been warned!!!! please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to give you phone numbers of as many satisfied clients as you would like”

“I knew this groomer from the other business he owned. Be really careful, he can be awful cruel to your pet. There are many other groomers in the salt lake area that you would be better off trusting your animal with. And his business site on the internet looks like a three year old built it (that is what my husband asked me to say).”
