  “I love Ankeny Pet Salon! I have happily been taking my miniature schnauzer to Ankeny Pet Salon for about 5 years. The new owner, Amy, is wonderful. I live in Ames and drive to Ankeny every 7 weeks because they do such a fantastic job. Schnauzers have a very meticulous cut, and not many get it right. The groomers at Ankeny Pet Salon have special certification for grooming terriers, and you can sure tell the difference! The blending of the beard and eyebrows and leggings that Lisa does is just exquisite! I marvel each time--she does such a beautiful job. Other groomers I had tried closer to home gave such blunt cuts that it was hard to comb his beard and leggings because of the matting that would occur in his fine hair. He combs out so easily now, its amazing the difference! The staff and owner Amy are very caring and provide great service. Also, I like the option of Saturday hours, since I work full time and most grooming services are closed on Saturdays. Im thankful Ankeny Pet Salon cares enough about their clients to offer Saturdays, when a lot of folks would prefer to close for the weekend. I book a year ahead to be sure to get in when I want, plus also then get a 10% discount, which is great. Thanks to Amy, Lisa, Randy, and the rest!”
